Valentine's Greetings

Alexandria

This last Saturday and Sunday I was privileged to do some face painting in downtown Denver.  I was hired by Fresh Coat Painting (http://www.freshcoatpainters.com/  just in case you ever need your house painted) to be at the Home & Garden show down at the Colorado Convention Center.  I face painted on Saturday and Sunday, the 11^th and 12^th, and I must say that it was an absolute blast.  I loved seeing all the amazing landscaping and vendors, but it was just extra special because I met some of the sweetest kids this weekend. 

It’s always fun to hear those little “please” and “thank you’s” but often children forget when they look in the mirror.  That’s quite alright because I know that it’s just all too exciting to remember little things like that!!! J  It’s always all about creating happiness and nothing really else matters.  However, it just seemed like so many of the kids were so kind and remembered to say thanks in the midst of their amazing smiles – so heart warming.

Thus I must say that my weekend was a great time spent interacting with mom’s and dad’s and their little ones.  Plus now that I have a little one of my own painting children is even more special to me.  I think about all the love that is poured out like warm sunshine from the hearts of mom’s and dad’s who just love their children like no other.  I imagine painting my little Alexandria and I know that each one of my kids that I get to face paint is an absolute priceless treasure.

Maybe that’s why this weekend was so special – it was one of the first events I have done since falling deeply in love with my little daughter Alexandria. 

So I send a big thank you to all the parents who let me face paint their little ones this weekend!  And if you would like your little ones painted for free please come to downtown Denver this coming weekend, February 18^th & 19^th, to the Home & Garden Show because I will be there again from noon to 4pm on each day.
